Yesterday was the last day of school! It feels so good to just be home with Abby and to exchange one job for another. I love teaching, but I also LOVE being a mom to Abby. Yesterday was kind of anti climatic. The kids went home at 11:30 but I had a teacher in service at 12:30, and it lasted for the whole afternoon. We did head out for some Captain Sundae ice cream after dinner to celebrate. This morning Abby woke up and asked if it was a "stay at home" day. I was so happy to say YES!!
We went shopping again this morning and Abby got a new scooter. It's a Disney princess scooter and it has a basket and a bell. She's in love! I'm sure we'll spend most of our summer riding between the princess scooter and the princess bike. My aunt and uncle came into town on Thursday. They live in Nebraska so we don't get to see them too often. My grandparents (who are in their 90's) were thrilled to have all three of their children back together again so we took quite a few pictures of the family. Aren't they a good looking bunch of people? We love each and every one of them. :)
