Happy Father's Day and Picture Update

We just got home from my brother's house where we had a family bar-be-que. It was so fun. All of the kids played so nicely that we were able to have some real adult conversation. Grilled burgers, hot dogs, fruit salad, chips, lemonade....ahhh, it's summer!
Today is Father's Day. I would like to tell everyone how great my dad is!! Seriously, he is the BEST! He is such a godly man who puts Christ first in his life. He has taught me so much about how to love God and then love your family. One of the greatest thing that I love about my dad is the fact that he has taken on the fatherly role for Abby. As a single mom I worried about not having a father figure for my daughter, but my dad has stepped in and Abby adores him!
I love you dad!
Here are a few pictures from tonight and a few from the past few days. There's nothing better than a backyard bar-be-que. It was a perfect night. Abby loves to play on their backyard swing and slide. It's fun to watch her interact with other kids. I was so proud of her tonight. She shared, waited her turn, and ate all her food.
Here is my brother and his three kids. I love living near them!
What's up with this smile? :)
Here we are waiting our turn for some dessert. It was either strawberry pie or chocolate mousse pie. Of course I has a tiny piece of both and they were both great. Abby had the strawberry pie for the only reason that it was pink.
Abby was served first and I told her that she needed to wait until everyone was served dessert before we could eat. She put her fork down but the next time I looked she was busy licking the pie and trying to sneak a bite. Too funny!
Here's Abby doing a handstand with Uncle Dave in the front yard.
The rest of these pictures are from the last few days. Our sand turtle has created quite a bit of fun. Here are Kaylana and Abby building princess castles.
Ryan, Kaylana and Abby all busy in the sand after eating their afternoon popsicles.
On Saturday night I told Abby that I had coupons for Dairy Queen. She ran into the car and buckled herself right in! She was ready for a blizzard.
Dairy Queen. A great way to end the night!
