Strikes, Slushies and Silliness!

On Saturday we went bowling with some friends. This was Abby's first time bowling and she was nervous! At first she didn't want to get out of the car, but we soon found her friends and after donning her awesome bowling shoes, she was ready to attack the pins. We went with Olivia and her sister Anna and Faith. Olivia and Faith are in first grade with Abby. These girls smiled the whole time.

Before we got started, we had to lay out the rules for the game. These included staying on the carpet unless it was your turn to bowl. The girls did so great!!! I love the intense face on Abby. She totally focused on the rules. She definitely my serious girl.

The new thing in bowling is this metal contraption that assists the kids with pushing the ball down the lane. It was life saver for Abby. She loved it and it helped the ball so farther. We also had the bumper guards out and with both of these things helping Abby, she scored a 57!

Olivia's mom was so sweet and bought all the girls slushies. I think this was the highlight of the whole afternoon.

I love having one on one bonding time with Abby. She's so fun!

I know this picture is dark, but I just had to include it. I love the flick of the leg as Abby turns around after bowling her turn. Too cute!
