Friends!

We got together with our SCAM group last night. We love seeing our friends again and getting together every month is awesome. It's always a blessing for me to talk with other single Christian moms. Sometimes I feel lost in my own little world and it can be lonely. It's nice for me to connect with some friends who understand.
For some reason it was incredibly LOUD last night and there was lots of fighting between Abby and her friends. When we were leaving and in the car, Abby started crying because her ear hurt. We went from Grand Rapids (Terry's house) to urgent care at 9pm. I was worried that Abby had an ear infection and prayed that urgent care wouldn't be busy and that they would be able to get her some medicine that wouldn't require a trip to the 24 hour pharmacy (my insurance is currently fighting with Walgreens so we're not allowed to use it, and of course they're the only 24 hour pharmacy around!)
God is SO good! We were able to walk right in and were seen by a doctor within 5 minutes! This is unheard of at urgent care! And yes, it was an ear infection, which explains her awful attitude with her friends. When I explained the situation with my insurance, they were able to write a prescription for medicine, but also to give me some numbing drops for her to use until I could get to a pharmacy in the morning. God took care of all our needs! Abby enjoying a little smile before dinner.

This is the 2 year old table. There are a few missing from the table, but getting 5 of them to sit still is a miracle. Aren't they adorable?

Aliya brought a Berenstein Bear book and everyone wanted to read it. They were all excited to gather around Terry and Alex for the story.
