Goofy faces and American pride

Lots of things changed over the weekend and after thinking we were going there and then being here, and then thinking we were going there again, but ending up here finally (did you follow all of that?) ...we went to our town's Memorial Day with family. We had a nice time.  The girls love to be with Uncle Dave and Abby jumped on making funny faces with him.  These two crack me up.
This is my attempt to get a family picture.  It never turns out quite right and yet somehow it's always right.  My girls are smiling and they're both in my arms.  That's definitely all right.
Abby and Micah hung out with Uncle Dave before the parade began.  They were in charge of running to the middle of the street to see if the parade was coming.  They took their job quite seriously.  After the parade we did a little shopping, planted a few flowers, rode our bikes, and had a picnic dinner.  All in all, even though we didn't go there, we stayed here and had fun.
