Here's the latest picture of Abby. She's into making puzzles right now. Here she is working on a Strawberry Shortcake puzzle. It's for ages 4-6 and she conquered it three times with no help! What a smart girl!! I'm sure she gets that from her mother. :)
We're finally into somewhat of a routine. Abby is used to me being home and she's started to play on her own with the toys. I'm sleeping in until at least 6:30, which is an hour later than I did during school! We didn't do much today, just the usual trip to McDonald's for breakfast, Family Fare for groceries and then home for some play time. Tonight I have Bible study and Abby will be with Nana and Papa. They're headed to Freedom Village for a music concert with Grandpa and Grandma Folkert.
Yesterday was a big milestone on the adoption front. We mailed off our forms to USCIS. USCIS stands for United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. With a check made out to Homeland Securtity, we're hoping that they'll approve us for adoption. It'll be about a three month wait until we receive that approval which will come in a form called an I-171H. During our three month wait we'll begin the papers for the Ethiopian government. These papers are called the dossier. There aren't too many to work on, I should have most of it finished by the end of July. There was a time when all this adoption lingo made my head swim, but now that I've gone through it with Abby, I'm beginning to think I'm a pro! :)
