It's officially summertime...

Today finally came. I've been waiting for this day

for quite a while. It's officially the start of my summer vacation. It was my last day of school. We had a half day and then a teacher inservice during the afternoon. I said goodbye to all my students. Saying goodbye used to leave me feeling empty inside, but this year I had only a satisfied feeling. Maybe it's because as a mom, I'm totally ready to be at home with Abby. So in one sense I'm giving up one job and tackling another. I'm so excited to finally spend all day with Abby. She was thrilled when I told her today that I would be home with her for the summer. She give me the biggest bear hug and couldn't stop smiling. We celebrated tonight by going to get Abby's haircut. She sat so perfectly!! The hairdresser told me that she's never had a little girl sit so perfect! She was all smiles with her new cut. I took a picture of the side angle because I wanted you to see how it finally has some style. We got it layered and stacked in the back and it angles towards the front. She looks adorable. Hopefully it's much cooler for her now that the hot weather is here.
