Here's the latest picture of Abby. She's ready to tackle the awful weather we've had the last two days. Our backyard is a swimming pool! The thunder and lightning was so loud it woke Abby up from her nap. In fact, it woke me up from my Sunday afternoon nap too. Boohoo! We did venture out right after it was done to walk Maggie and then to go out in the van and check out the flooding situations around town. There are so many ponds, lakes and swimming pools that formed from this storm. Later my parents came over for hot fresh waffles! I got a waffle maker for my birthday and I've been trying different waffle recipes. Tonight's recipe was the best, especially when topped with both syrup and strawberries! Yum!!

You forgot to mention that the strawberry/syrup combination was invented by your father--after you first laughed at him!
