We went shopping, played games, read books, played with the dollhouse,and the highlight was packing Abby's lunch for tomorrow. She mentioned to me early in the day that she wasn't looking forward to school and in fact, didn't want to go. I think she's just getting nervous and it's been built up quite a bit lately. So I didn't mention it for most of the day. But tonight after dinner we talked through tomorrow's activities. We also worked on getting her lunch ready for tomorrow. She helped to put together her sandwich and understands what her lunch will look like. Then she picked out her first day of school outfit and she's feeling much better. When I tucked her in bed she said that she was going to go right to sleep because she knows tomorrow will be a great day if she gets a good sleep. Too cute!
Even the rainstorm couldn't hinder our fun. Abby loves to ride her bike and since it was raining, she just brought along her umbrella. Rain can't stop this girl. :)
Grace discovered our rider horse. She likes to just sit on it and rock a little. Don't you like the snotty nose? She been fighting a huge cold for the past several days. Poor baby! She's sleeping great at night and her spirits are high, but her nose just won't stop running. I hope she feels better soon and that the rest of us don't get it.
