Apparently there was a recall on my dishwasher and I scheduled someone to come and fix it this morning. I was so happy that I would be able to get this done before school started. Of course, this meant I had to stay home from 8-12pm. But...what can you do? Repairmen apparently require a four hour window. Well, noon came and went and there was no repairman. I called the company and they didn't have any record of someone coming today! You can believe that I blew a gasket. I had stayed home with my 2 antsy girls and I didn't have to! GRRR! And they couldn't reschedule me until next week Friday. But school is in session next week. I was so upset that they were able to "squeeze" me in next week Saturday. But now I have to sit home next Saturday from 1-5 pm. At least this is during Grace's naptime. He better show up.
Since we were stuck at home I decided to empty the girl's dresser of the summer clothes and officially move the school clothes into the drawers. They are both set for clothes this fall and it felt good to put them in the drawers, but it also felt sad. I was putting away summer. And summer was fun. But we have new routines to learn and Abby is beyond excited for kindergarten.
My parents called late afternoon and invited us out for dinner. Yahoo! I was so ready to get out of the house. We headed over to Texas Road House. It was so good. I got a steak and it was perfection. I can't remember the last time I had steak, but I was totally satisfied tonight. Let's just say that my stomach is happy. We also ran to the teacher store and the furniture store. I picked up a few things for school and then picked up three metal wall hangings to put above my couch. I haven't officially hung them yet, but I'm very happy with them.
For some reason I had my camera in my purse during dinner so I took pictures of the girls at the restaurant. Apparently I wasn't the only one who was happy to get out of the house and eat a steak dinner. :)
It's a good thing they played music in the restaurant because this girl was so loud. She was also busy flirting with all the other people in the booths around us. What a ham!
