She did it!!

Grace walked today!!!

She's been crawling all over the place and pulling herself up around all the furniture so I've been anxious to see her first steps. I thought I would miss it because I'm back to work and Grace has been at my mom's, but I was able to see the 2 steps this afternoon. I was so excited! And I can say that she walked before her first birthday (which is Thursday). Way to go baby!

In other news, I am back at school again. It's time to get the classroom ready and there are a few changes in unit plans at school so there are quite a few different things to work on. Tonight I got to meet my 2nd graders and school just gets closer by the day. Am I excited? Not really. This is always a really hard time of year for me. I absolutely LOVE being home with my girls. I LOVE being a mom. It's so hard to get into the routine of leaving the girls and going off to work. I feel like I miss so much of their life. Even when I do get home from work, most of my time is spent getting ready for the next day and then going to bed early. I'm not quite sure why God called me to be a single woman, especially since I love being home with the girls. But obviously he did, so off to work I will go tomorrow.

By the way, don't you love the picture? Grace was already done with her bath and Abby was just splashing around. Grace can't stand being away from Abby and tried to crawl right back into the tub with her. She stood there by the side forever just giggling with Abby. When they laugh together like that, my heart smiles. God is indeed good to me.
