It's fun to be ONE!

Today my baby celebrated her first birthday!! I can't believe that she has already turned one year old. That just seems crazy. In some ways I feel like she has been with our family forever, yet in other ways it has gone by too fast. I'm so thankful that I was able to bring her home at such a young age because I was able to snuggle with her as an infant. She's so good at snuggling, it's one of her favorite things.
Tonight we had my parents and our friend Jessie over for dinner. I cooked Grace's favorite dinner of chicken, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob, but all she wanted was the ice cream. She didn't even show interest in the cake, she only had eyes for the ice cream. Doesn't she look so cute with all the curly ribbon around her? She didn't have much interest in the presents, she was all about the ribbon and the tissue paper. What a great one year old!

She reached and reached for the cake and tore off a little of the frosting.

Our amazing friend Jessie came over to help us celebrate. We all love her!
