Apple Pie! Yum!

Last Saturday Abby and I made apple pies! I love apple pies and oddly I also love making them! I have an apple corer, slicer, peeler thing-a-ma-bob so it's very easy to make them. Abby was in charge of the knife and cutting the slices of apple small enough for the pie. She was thrilled because this was the first time she was using a sharp knife while baking. We mad 2 apple crumble pies and OOOOOOH did our house smell great! We brought one over to share with my parents and my grandma for dinner and everyone was happy. We made a huge pile of apple cores and peels. I love that the machine did all the work. We loved it so much we're making some more tomorrow afternoon.

Abby was also in charge of getting the sugar and cinnamon mixed up and put over the pie. She's getting very good at measuring and gathering ingredients. I think she'll be my baker.
