On Saturday we had our SCAM group over. I absolutely adore these women! It's so nice to have moms who are in the same unique situation as me. Our group is growing and it's so fun to meet new single adoptive moms. Currently the moms are outnumbered by the kids, and we're about to add a few more kids to the mix. We had 9 adults and 10 children Saturday, with at least 3 more kids to be added in the next year. Wow! It's so fun to see God at work in our lives, blessing us with more kids!!
We had planned to meet at the park and have a picnic. The weather was supposed to cooperate and the rain wasn't supposed to come until late in the evening. Well, we started at the park (in the rain) and ended up with dinner and fun at my house. I don't live in the biggest house, so we were a little crowded, but happy!
We tried to grab a picture of a few girls. This one cracks me up. Elaina is the only one looking at the camera (Yeah!!). Grace and Aliya are glued to the tv watching Miss Pattycake. Diviyah is crying because she doesn't want her picture taken and Nyah and Elli are fighting over a toy in the background. Yep, we love all of them!!
Abby and Levi escaped to my bedroom to play Groovy girls. They were excited to find a quiet spot away from the one year old girls. I can't wait until I get my adoption credit back. I'm planning on using it to finish off my basement. This will add so much more space for hosting friends and family. Until then, we'll continue to be crowded because we LOVE getting together with these SCAMmers!
