Friends, Friends and More Friends
We've had several playdates this week and we've loved every one! Yesterday we headed over to the Jongekryg's house for the morning. We met the Hitchcock family there too so there were lots of kids running around. Abby played with Faith and Olivia, but Grace stayed close to me. It was so good to have some "mom" time with friends and to just sit and chat. Both girls were in great moods and there wasn't any fighting. At one point Grace walked over to their dog cage and climbed right inside! She then closed the door and laughed and laughed! She's so funny! She loved it in there and we all got a good chuckle. She loves dogs and often follows Maggie around trying to feed her and talk with her.
Abby got a new purse with the initial "A" on it and she's in love! She feels so grown up with a real purse. It hasn't left her side and every time we leave the house she needs to bring her purse along too. She even found her wallet to put in it as well as her chapstick (which she calls lipstick) and some Dum Dum suckers. She's all set!
Today we had Beth, Levi and Lainey over. They came in the morning and we headed over to Helder park for a while. It was a beautiful sunny day and the kids had a great time running here and there and swinging on the tire swing. Then it was home for a pancake lunch, apples and bananas, and grape pop. What a great combination! With full tummies, the kids were set to play for a while and they got along so well! It actually allowed the moms to sit and talk. It was so nice to connect and to process life with another friend.
