Heneveld Family Christmas

We got together with our family last night on New Year's Eve to celebrate Christmas. We had so much fun! It was definitely one of the best get together ever. My sister and her family came up in the morning and my brother and his family came over too. We spent all afternoon and evening together. The cousins love it and play so well with each other. The day was spent eating, opening presents, eating, playing games, eating, sharing laughs, and of course more eating! My sister and her family got a new dog for Christmas so they brought Rocky up to meet us. We loved him too! Both of my girls couldn't keep their hands off him and spent most of their time trailing behind him or holding onto him. It was cute to watch.

Lauren!

Julia!

Leah and Lauren are the two oldest cousins. Lauren turns 11 in just a few weeks and Leah is only 6 months behind. These two are great friends, but also great role models for both my girls. I loved that they both got new devotional books for Christmas and were genuinely excited about them. They are such great ladies!

Here are the grand kids before the opening of presents.

Aren't they the cutest you've ever seen?

Now the goofy picture :)

One more pose!

Grace got a new cash register and she loves it. There are lots of buttons to push and there's play money. I can see my future now, I'm going to have to play store quite a bit more.

Abby got new pj's and they match her cousin's pair. She couldn't wait to wear them. In fact, today she wanted to wear them all day long. They look cute on her.
Julia got a new Barbie make your own lip gloss kit.

Abby loving on Rocky again. He was a cutie!!

My mom asked for new plate from Pier One so all the kids went together to make her wish come true. We even got to eat off them tonight.

We got my dad a new Columbia jacket for all his Hope games.

The two crack me up. They were best buds all weekend and spent lots of time telling secrets, playing Polly Pockets, running in circles in the backyard and eating lots of puppy chow. They're only 6 months apart and the best of friends. Abby adores Sophie!

This is an amazing present! The picture doesn't do it justice. My parents created a doll bed for Abby. My dad built the frame and my mom made the mattress and the decorations. It was breathtaking. Abby immediately fell on it in joy when she opened it. She's been asking for a big doll bed for several months and now she has one. She has doted on her doll (which she named Hope) and the bed all day. Thank you mom and dad!

The uncles with Papa!

Grace spent the afternoon climbing up on everybody's chairs and sneaking all their food. You had to be careful where you put your food or you might find it in Grace's mouth. Haha!

Since we took a picture of the men, we thought we should have one of the women too. We took this one first and didn't really like it...so.....

we took this one! Haha!! We laughed and laughed at this one, but we loved it!!!

Uncle Jeff reading a book with Grace. Too cute!

At the end of the night there were no present left under the tree so Leah and Lauren grabbed my ipad and headed under the tree to play with it. We had a great night together. We are truly blessed with such an incredible family. Thank you Lord for the gift of family and the time we're able to spend together.
