IT CAME!!!!

I walked to my mailbox at lunch today and expected to get a few more bills. Instead I got an envelope from USCIS. I ran inside and tore it open. It was my I-171H form!!!! I was so excited!! Many of you are probably wondering what's so exciting about a piece of paper, but this paper was from the US Immigration office and was the approval I was waiting for. It took only two months. Many people are waiting for 2-3 months. I wasn't expecting anything until early September. I was so excited that I laid it down on the counter and took a picture of it so that all of you could revel in this awesomeness with me. :) It's just so official looking!

Now my dossier is complete. Later this week I'll travel to the Office of the Great Seal to authenticate all the papers. By the end of the week the whole pile should be on its way to the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington D.C. Then the "official" wait begins...

Here's Abby playing with her new Leap Pad. It plays songs, games and tells stories. Who needs preschool when you can just learn it all with a Leap Pad? :) This morning I bought Abby a new Disney princess phone. There are four different princesses who will talk with you. She loves it!
