Woohoo!! Grace is 2 !!

Guess who's 2! Grace, that's who! My baby turned 2 years old today. And let me tell you, she's ALL 2, every single part of her. I made her cake last night and showed her this morning. She loved it and grabbed at it right away saying, "I want eat!!!" Haha! I made her wait and started making pancakes for breakfast. While my head was turned that sneaky girl grabbed several marshmallows off the cake and ate them. She couldn't wait any longer. :)
After breakfast we headed out to VanRaalte Farm with our neighbor Christina (she owns One27 Photography) and tried to get our pictures taken. The key word here is "tried". Abby did great, I did great, Grace didn't do so great. She cried and whined and couldn't sit still. Of course she can't, she's 2 years old!
My parents, Jessie, and Hannah all came over to help us celebrate. We had pizza because it's Grace's favorite meal. But tonight she didn't want any, she wanted that cake!

We sang Happy Birthday and then tried to get her to blow out the candles but she didn't want to. So we all started laughing and it made her mad and a little upset. Next thing I know, she's crying. But it's her birthday, she can cry if she wants to. Here we are laughing with her and she's upset. Don't you love her face?

Waiting patiently for presents...

Life with a 2 year old is never predictable. She couldn't smile to save her life this morning during pictures, but tonight she was all smiles. I love this picture of the three of us. Yep, I'm blessed with my family!

She needed Abby's help in understanding how to open presents and how to rip open packages. Abby was only too happy to teach her.

She got this great doll from Aunt Beth and Uncle Jeff. When you move the bottle in her hand to her mouth she makes sucking noises, coos and giggles. It's so cute. She absolutely LOVED it!!

She hugged it and kissed it and showed it to everyone.

Here's the cake I made for her birthday. It's a rainbow cake made out of skittles and marshmallows. It was so sugary and both girls loved it. Grace only wanted to eat the marshmallows, but Abby ate 2 pieces.
